The Transformation
Before the conversion, this 18 by 20 foot single-car garage sat mostly unused. BluPlan Studio designed the ADU and managed the permit process with the City of San Diego, taking the project from first submittal to approved permits in about 3.5 months. The same 360 square feet is now a fully permitted one-bedroom ADU earning $1,800 per month in rent.
